Co-Living to Build Community
Galatians Homeless Ministries is dedicated to addressing the critical needs of people experiencing homelessness by working to create co-living and assisted living solutions. Our program is specifically designed to support homeless veterans, teenagers who are transitioning out of the foster care system, and seniors facing homelessness.
Why Co-Living?
It presents a promising solution to several pressing issues, such as building a sense of community, offering affordable housing options, and addressing the challenge of homelessness. This innovative housing model promotes shared living spaces where individuals can not only save on rent but also connect with others, creating a vibrant community atmosphere. By providing amenities like shared kitchens, communal lounges, and collaborative workspaces, co-living environments foster social interactions and support networks among residents. Furthermore, this approach can significantly lower living costs, making housing more accessible for those with limited financial resources, ultimately helping to mitigate the growing homelessness crisis in our cities.

Hygiene
(Coming Soon)
We're bringing hygiene to the streets of DC. This project is a part of our interim services to help provide much-needed essentials while awaiting permanent housing. This initiative involves a specially equipped trailer that will travel to different city locations to offer free showers, toiletries, and clean clothes to those in need. These services will help the homeless maintain their physical health and dignity and provide a moment of relief and positivity in their otherwise difficult lives.
